YouTube On Stage / The Tanks at Tate Modern, London
Hosted in the iconic Tanks at Tate Modern, YouTube On Stage was designed to showcase YouTube as a powerful platform for advertisers and policymakers. The event combined a large-scale screen experience with talks, live music, food, and drink, positioning YouTube at the intersection of culture, creativity, and business.
Challenge
Transform the raw, industrial Tanks space into a cohesive branded environment while minimising waste in line with YouTube’s sustainability ethos. The solution integrated projection-based wayfinding in place of printed signage, reducing environmental impact while enhancing the immersive atmosphere.
My Role
➡ Developed the event’s visual identity and look & feel.
➡ Designed and storyboarded large-screen and on-stage content.
➡ Created client-facing presentations to align stakeholders.
➡ Directed and artworked both small- and large-format event graphics.
➡ Reviewed and approved production samples to ensure consistent quality.
Impact
Delivered a bold, sustainable brand experience that highlighted YouTube’s cultural influence while reinforcing its value to advertisers and policymakers. The innovative use of projection-based wayfinding elevated the guest journey while reducing material waste.
